Overview of the Role

The Talent Acquisition (TA) Coordinator (m/f/d) will support the German Talent Acquisition team on key vacancies and will be also responsible for providing key administrative support to the Talent team in Germany and Europe.

The purpose of this role is to assist and support our TA Directors and Managers with effective and timely assignment delivery across the lines of business where financial/analytical acumen and training is required. The role will be based in our Frankfurt or Hamburg office, but due to the significant growth of our firm it is likely that this person will ultimately conduct recruitment assignments across the European geographies.

As TA demand is very dynamic in terms of requirements, it is essential that the successful hire is capable of a ‘can do’ approach when tasked with duties associated with other lines of business from time to time.

Key accountabilities

  • Support/facilitation of the entire recruitment cycle from initial briefing to candidate identification, advert writing, screening, interviews and offer
  • Conduct research into target organizations, predominantly consulting firms and other specialist firms but also industry sectors
  • Approach suitable candidates and qualify against agreed competencies and criteria for each vacancy.
  • Identify candidates across competitors for specialist senior and junior roles
  • Assist Managers in drafting advertisements and screening ad responses
  • Build relationships to gain candidate referrals from senior individuals (internal and external)
  • Arranging interviews, booking interview rooms and sending out confirmations.
  • Diary management of recruiters and recruiting line managers within the business for interviews.
  • Communication: Dealing with queries from candidates and employees, line managers, and recruitment partners in a professional and timely manner.
  • Administering assessment tests as required.
  • Assisting the recruitment team with all administration connected with organizing and running candidate assessment days.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and awareness of all available candidate identification tools (LinkedIn, social media, company websites, internal database) as well as proactive networking for additional candidate leads
  • Capture and maintain accurate market and candidate information on Alvarez & Marsal’s internal knowledge systems (Workday/Sharepoint)
  • Produce accurate and timely reports in preparation for update meetings, progress updates etc.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable recruitment experience (consultancy or in-house) and experience of working in a varied administrative role involving recruitment
  • Strong resourcing skills (LinkedIn, social media and other networks)
  • Track record of recruitment innovation and creativity
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information at maximum discretion
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively prioritize projects and deliverables
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency in an internal HRIS system such as Workday is a significant plus
  • Excellent German and English (knowledge of additional European languages a strong asset, preferably French or Spanish)
