The EMEA Finance Team supports offices across Europe and the Middle East as part of the shared service function and they are looking for a (Senior) Specialist (m/f/d) - Financial Reporting to be based in Munich.

The Corporate Financial Reporting Team works closely with Local External Accountants and are responsible for all financial accounting and reporting for the EMEA business including but not limited to month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations and statutory and compliance filings (VAT, Financial Statements etc.).

The successful applicant will report to the Manager Financial Reporting, Germany and will work alongside the Finance Team, external advisors, auditors and the wider business as required. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintain and update DATEV, ensuring seamless reconciliation between the company ERP system and DATEV

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies or reconciling differences proactively

  • Oversee bookkeeping and reporting using DATEV, ensuring data integrity and compliance

  • Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and/or IFRS

  • Assist with compliance with accounting guidelines and legal requirements

  • Support in the preparation of management reports and financial analyses

  • Participate in the optimization of financial processes and internal controls

  • Liaise with external auditors, (tax) advisors, and internal specialist departments

  • Support accounting-related issues within the company

  • Build collaborative, positive relationships with other members of the EMEA Finance team and business stakeholders to resolve queries and support the organization's growth and evolution

  • Proactively contribute to ad-hoc projects and key financial tasks, ensuring smooth execution and positive outcomes when needed

Your Profile:

  • Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally within an international environment

  • In-depth knowledge of DATEV and hands-on experience in ERP reconciliation

  • Demonstrated experience in preparing local GAAP financial statements

  • Ability to work with large data sets, and comfortable with manual, detail driven processes

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel e.g V-Look ups/Pivot tables etc., previous experience of working using a Global ERP system

  • Demonstrable ability to meet deadlines, results orientated and “can do” attitude

  • A natural team player who can interact easily with colleagues and have strong communication skills

  • Analytical and structured working style with willingness to learn

  • Degree in Business Administration, ideally specializing in Accounting, Finance, or Controlling, or a comparable qualification

  • Business fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
