The Team

This role sits within the EMEA Digital & Technology Services (DTS) practice, which focuses on six core areas of expertise: Digital Strategy, Digital Customer Experience, Data & Intelligence, Cyber Security, Smart Products & Assets, and Business Technology (BT).

Our Business Technology team works with Private Equity funds, Corporates, and Financial Services clients across EMEA to:

  • Realign the performance of the technology/IT function through operational restructuring to directly improve earnings and cash flow.
  • Conduct technology and product due diligence pre-deal and provide post-deal services, including Post-Merger Integration, Separation, Carve-Out, and 100-day planning.
  • Shape and deliver enterprise-wide systems and online programs to drive performance improvement through business transformation and cost reduction.
  • Manage and develop technology (ERP, CRM, Business Intelligence systems) to meet strategic and operational business requirements, including KPI and dashboard development.
  • Take interim management positions such as CIO, CTO, IT Director, or Program Manager.

How you will contribute

  • Frame business issues, analyse internal and external data, build financial models, and create clear presentations and reports.
  • Solve strategic problems by reviewing clients’ immediate and future issues, developing actionable solutions, and designing Target Operating Models, IT Transformation plans, and Enterprise Architectures.
  • Lead and execute pre- and post-deal Tech Due Diligence, IT Carve-Outs, Strategic IT Planning, and Tech Modernization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with CTOs, CIOs, and senior executives, leveraging expertise across A&M’s industry and functional domains.
  • Participate in practice development efforts to enhance the team’s capabilities and market presence.

Qualifications

  • Excellent academic record, including financial acumen.
  • Native or fluent business-level German and English.
  • Proven track record in a top-tier strategy or advisory firm.
  • Experience advising PE firms and blue-chip corporations during critical transformation points.
  • Deep technology expertise to assess architectures and infrastructures for value creation.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage priorities effectively, and commitment to delivering results in a high-performing culture.
