Role Summary

We are currently looking for an EMEA Payroll Analyst to work with us in London, full-time on a fixed term contract for 18-24 months.

Reporting to the EMEA Head of Payroll Operations and working closely with the rest of the Alvarez & Marsal Global Payroll Team.

The Global Payroll function is currently undergoing a transformation project that will simplify a fragmented payroll landscape and improve ease of operations by developing automation and delivering simple, agile and efficient processes

The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in our fantastic EMEA Payroll in supporting the Team with day-to-day payroll operations with some exposure to our Global Payroll Transformation project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the EMEA Payroll Team with payroll queries ad document requests.
  • Support the Team with the preparation of employee related information and input into flexi-form and Payroll Provider’s portal.
  • Liaise with internal HR partners to collect and organise payroll data before preparing templates for submission to 3rd party providers, ensuring a thorough understanding of data.
  • Collect and check timekeeping information via our Time and Attendance system.
  • Adhere to payroll cut-off dates and ensure that deadlines with payroll provider and Business Partners are met. Partner closely with stakeholders to ensure all inputs are confirmed and included within agreed KPIs.
  • Perform data reconciliations between payroll and other systems, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Preparing payrolls for monthly approvals and supporting with the submission of Statutory notices and relevant tax/social security documents to third parties.
  • Assist with audits and finance queries.
  • Ensuring that all data is managed and maintained in accordance with the Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
  • Provide support and handle escalations in a timely manner, managing internal and external stakeholders effectively in the process and in a courteous manner.
  • Participate in discussions with vendors regarding payrolls to ensure proper handling of issues.
  • Maintain, update and help create relevant Payroll policies, procedures, forms and knowledge articles as and when required.
  • Assist with team wider initiatives and projects, specifically in regards of our Global Transition Project. You will have the opportunity of gaining exposure on soft providers transitions, help with testing automatic integrations, etc.
  • Support with payroll data migration and cleansing activities, ensuring data accuracy and integrity in the new payroll system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a EMEA Payroll Analyst or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and data management.
  • Experience working with local payroll providers and managing relationships with external vendors ideally have worked via ADP platforms.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and uses initiative to solve problems, questions the why and the how.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service, be proactive, flexible, adaptable while problem solving when required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple payrolls and deadlines.
  • Must be organized and adaptable to crucial time frame and changes
  • Excellent skills in Excel.
  • Experience working a fast-paced, growing environment would be advantageous.
