A&M’s intranet, Connect, is our virtual library and the portal to our services and resources globally.

The Intranet Manager will be a part of the Intranet and Internal Content EMEA (IICE) Team, reporting to the Head of IICE in London, and will lead the development of our regional site with a strong focus on strategic business unit portals.  They will work alongside the Intranet Coordinator EMEA who is responsible for restructuring sub sites, training and supporting country intranets.  The team are part of the wider Operations business unit and the successful candidate will work closely with Knowledge Management, Marketing and the Insight Center.

Our intranet is hosted on SharePoint Online with a global and regional presence, offering many opportunities to share news, knowledge, guidelines, templates and more.  As our firm expands, so too does our intranet remit to provide services lines, business units and countries with a resource of rich content.

This is a varied role and the successful candidate will need to understand the business, firm goals and the latest in intranet best practice in order to maintain a site that delivers content to users through a quick and easy to navigate journey.  They will be a champion of A&Ms information services at all times.


Responsibilities:

Intranet Strategy and Management

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the EMEA intranet to meet organisation requirements and objectives
  • Work with the Global Intranet Team to understand SharePoint developments, share best practices and collaborate on initiatives that have a global reach (such as Amplify and Engage)
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the intranet, ensuring it’s functional, relevant and that the user experience is optimised
  • Work with our Analytics team to leverage usage and performance insights, implement recommendations for improvement and monitor progress.

Content Management

  • Oversee the regional creation, curation, and maintenance of intranet content to ensure it is relevant, accurate, and engaging
  • Ensure our strategic business units are supported through the management of their bespoke content and information shared across multiple divisions
  • Collaborate with department leaders and the Intranet Coordinator to ensure content is effectively represented on the platform
  • Maintain strong content governance policies and standards
  • Work closely with Internal Communications to ensure coordination and scheduling of news continues to meet requirements
  • Collaborate with Intranet Coordinator to support business units in updating their sites

User Engagement

  • Promote the intranet as the central resource portal for communication and collaboration within the firm
  • Gather feedback from users to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in intranet management and digital workplace solutions
  • Work with Global Intranet Team to role out new features, tools and complimentary platforms to enhance the intranet experience
  • Drive initiatives to improve employee engagement and collaboration through the intranet.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a related field
  • Relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in driving strategy of effective content management
  • Ability to lead implementation and delivery of regional projects
  • Adaptability to changing technologies and business needs
  • Exposure to Communications or Marketing in a professional environment
  • English speaker with a second language an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to organise and prioritise tasks, and to manage concurrent projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, comfortable working with quantitative data and numerical analysis
  • Significant experience in SharePoint Online and O365 applications
