Role Overview:

We are looking for a senior-level HR professional to lead the HR Operations function in India. This role covers the entire employee lifecycle, HR compliance, benefits, Workday management, audits, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate brings a sharp focus on process, technology, data integrity, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and ensuring smooth new-joiner experience
  • Handle full-cycle transactional support for transfers, leave of absence, and other lifecycle events in Workday

Payroll & Compliance

  • Ensure 100% compliance with statutory and labor laws including POSH, maternity bonus, and inspections
  • Coordinate with internal payroll team & provide monthly insurance related inputs

Insurance & Benefits

  • Organize monthly orientation sessions for insurance benefits
  • Manage policy renewals (for GMC, GPA, GTL) by negotiating competitive quotes and aligning coverage with industry trends
  • Track employee queries, claims follow-ups, and handle disputes or escalations
  • Lead policy design improvements (e.g., enhancements for women & LGBTQ+, elimination of medical tests, etc.)

Employee Engagement

  • Lead engagement initiatives such as Coffee Connects, Women’s Day, Mental Wellbeing activities, and annual engagement calendars

HRIS & Workday Management

  • Own Workday modules for India: Leave & Attendance, One-time Payments, International Transfers, etc.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance through regular audits and clean-up activities
  • Set up India-specific configurations (e.g., LMS, referral bonus plans, local policies)
  • Support testing for new implementations and module updates

Audit, Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare accurate HR dashboards, including headcount, attrition, gender, BU data, and ad-hoc requests
  • Own and manage end-to-end HR audit readiness and successful completion (zero discrepancies)
  • Liaise with global teams for audit documentation and data alignment

Policy, Communication & Change Management

  • Participate in year-end compensation cycles: data validation, bonus processing, and physical letter distribution
  • Support development and revamp of HR policies, communications, and SOPs in line with local needs and global guidance
  • Coordinate with legal for handling sensitive issues including legal notices, compliance alerts, etc.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 9+ years of strong HR operations experience in consulting/professional services, preferably MNCs
  • Advanced knowledge of Workday and HRIS tools; Workday testing & configuration exposure is a plus
  • Experience in insurance/benefits management, vendor coordination, and query resolution
  • Demonstrated success in running employee engagement programs across multiple locations
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Analytical mindset with high accuracy and a continuous improvement approach
  • Experience in a global, matrixed environment is preferred
