Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Sr. Data Engineer to join our growing team. With our focus on innovation and leveraging cutting-edge technologies, we seek an individual with who can be a part of our Data Office.
Reports to: Manager – Digital Technology Services
Location: Gurgaon/Bengaluru
Key responsibilities:
•Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data warehousing and business intelligence (BI) applications
•Extract, clean, transform, and load structured and semi-structured data from various sources
•Develop and maintain ETL mappings, workflows, and data loads.
•Monitor ETL processes, system audits, and dashboard reporting
•Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
•Perform root cause analysis on ETL job abends and data anomalies and recommend solutions
•Ensure data security, privacy, and governance compliance throughout the ETL lifecycle
•Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including pipeline optimization, code versioning, and CI/CD practices for data jobs
•Document ETL processes, data flows, and system dependencies for operational transparency and support
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with 3+ years of hands on relevant experience
•Strong understanding of data modeling, database structures, and data warehousing concepts
•Proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience in Snowflake; ETL/ELT tools, especially Informatica IDMC
•Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and how they integrate with Snowflake
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to troubleshoot data pipeline issues
•Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD for data pipelines is a plus
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team
